MVJ College of Engineering (MVJCE) was established in 1982 as the flagship institution of the Venkatesha Education Society, has been dedicated to providing quality education in engineering, management, and beyond. Located on a 15-acre state-of-the-art campus in Whitefield, Bangalore, the college offers a conducive environment for progressive learning and holistic development. Approved by All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE), affiliated with Visvesvaraya Technological University (VTU) – Belagavi, and recognized by University Grants Commission (UGC), MVJCE is a front-runner among engineering colleges in Karnataka. Since earning Autonomous Status in the academic year 2019-20, the institution has consistently adapted to changing times and technological advancements, solidifying its reputation for excellence. Starting with just four undergraduate programs and an initial intake of 200 students in 1982, MVJCE has expanded significantly over the last 42 years. Today, the college offers 15 undergraduate programs, 8 postgraduate programs, and Ph.D. opportunities across 8 research centers, demonstrating its remarkable growth and commitment to academic excellence.

Eligibility

Admission to undergraduate engineering programs can be secured either through the Karnataka Common Entrance Test (KCET) examination and its selection process or via the management admission route.

Eligibility Criteria for CET Admission Process

1. Academic Qualification:
   • Candidates must have passed II PUC/12th standard or an equivalent examination, with English as one of the languages. They should have secured a minimum aggregate of 45% marks in Physics and Mathematics, along with any one of the following subjects: Chemistry, Biotechnology, Biology, Electronics, or Computer Science. For SC/ST and OBC candidates (Cat-1, 2A, 2B, 3A, and 3B) from Karnataka, the minimum aggregate marks required is 40%.
2. Entrance Exam:
   • Candidates must have qualified in the Karnataka Common Entrance Test (KCET) conducted by the Government of Karnataka.

Eligibility Criteria for Management Admission Process

1. Academic Qualification:
   • Candidates must have passed II PUC/12th standard or an equivalent examination with English as one of the languages. They should have secured a minimum aggregate of 60% marks in Physics and Mathematics, along with one of the following subjects: Chemistry, Biotechnology, Biology, Electronics, or Computer Science.
2. Entrance Exam Requirement:
   • Candidates must have qualified in at least one of the following entrance exams:
   • Karnataka Common Entrance Test (KCET) conducted by the Government of Karnataka
   • Consortium of Medical, Engineering, and Dental Colleges of Karnataka (COMEDK)
   • Joint Entrance Examination (JEE) conducted by the Government of India Any entrance test conducted by the Association of Minority Professional Colleges in Karnataka.

Note:

Students seeking admission through the Management Admission process are required to complete an online test conducted on campus.
